Waffle Iron Café & Coffee House

coffee week, day 3

You only need look at the name - Waffle Iron Café & Coffee House - to know that coffee runs second to waffles at this little neighborhood spot. But they do have espresso drinks even if the barista skills are a work in progress. And waffles aren't exactly a bad thing, are they. It's breakfast and lunch, with "fast casual" service (order at the counter and they bring it to you) and free wireless access, which is very cool.

5181 Keller Springs Rd. (at the tollway) 972-250-1166

mr. cruise,
now you're crazy about waffles. just a few years ago, the ny imes had a story on a small cafe in australia that made scrambled eggs that you and nicole were crazy for. recipe with story called for lots of butter and cream, and you cooked them practically without stirring, just a few strokes from the outside in evry minute or so. i made them; they were ok, but not worth going half around the world for.

well as it happens my local sbux was out of the little cups long before i got there. but hey NYCE wasn't the only entity to report on the big free ice cream caper of 2005. reuters ran a story, so did AOL, CNN, a buncha blogs and a website called "totally free stuff"
