Dreyers bon bons i mean dibs

It might be easier to get fired up about Dreyers Dibs* ice cream bites if they weren’t just the same-old-sh*t. Taking a choc-coated ice cream bar, chucking the wooden stick, and re-selling it in bite-sized portions is hardly "innovation". Plus, excuse me, have they heard of Dove Miniatures? Klondike bites? Or hello, Nestle Bon Bons? Nestle now owns a majority of Dreyers and will own it all by end of ’05. So it's out with the Bon Bons, in with the nearly-identical Dibs (right down to the stupid-catchy nicknames! pheh!)

*the use of that washed-out yucky color is entirely intentional

Terese,
Lighten up. These tiny bon bons and dibs are great when you're watching TV or a movie. You can just pop them in your mouth; no worry about the bar melting down your shirt or, worse, falling off the stick.

Do you ever try to imagine the person who writes those "catchy" comments on product boxes. I just looked at the one on Dibs, and if my memory serves, it says, "Pop 'em!
Munch 'em! Have fun with 'em!" Sounds like a teenage girl to me. Certainly no Shakespeare.

gene, i do see your point. you don't want to be dropping chunks of chocolate-like coating onto your fluffy slippers or, god forbid, your vividly colored housecoat/mumu. maybe dreyers could sell these things in a feedbag package. anyway, happy eating

Wow...you're just a nasty person, aren't you? Bon Bons are just neat and easy to eat, is all. No need to be sarcastic and rude.

These dibs are o.k. i guess. But i really miss the bon bons.....they had a thicker chocolate coating and just tasted better. You shouldn't mess with perfection. Bon Bons were great when you needed a quick sweet-tooth fixer-upper late at night while watching a good movie. Just a couple and you were good. No need to chow down on a whole ice cream bar. Either the Bon bons need to make a come back or the Dibs need a bit of improvement.
