sonic peach smoothie

This is prob one of those things that woulda been good to try first. But if you have to wait for it to be tried first, you wouldn’t get a blog item. Which is more important: A. a hot new blog item, or B. a lukewarm blog item w/ first-person testimony? I'm going with A. Sonic, which calls itself "one of the few drivein chains left in the U.S." carhops etc. has a peach smoothie, avail for a ltd time only (see? getting the word out ASAP is crucial) made w/ nonfat yogurt & "real" peaches (as opposed to artificial ones?) and providing 110% of yr daily calcium. The ingreds sound wholesome and sonic already has a good track record for bevs; its limeades, for ex, use real limes

This does sound pretty yummy. I like the Sonic Sunrise (Cherry Limeade with Minute Maid® Orange Juice) and I've always wanted to try the Sunshine Smoothie (14oz blend of Strawberry, Banana, Orange Juice & soft serve). And their SuperSONIC® Breakfast Burrito (Sausage, Egg, Tomato, Jalapenos, Tator Tots and Cheese all wrapped in a Flour Tortilla) is pretty darn good if a touch heavy.

I went to an authentic drive-in here in NC and it was a blast from the past. Didn't have the selection that Sonic does, but Sonic was missing the all important kitsch factor.

Among Sonic's monster drinks, I'm pretty much limited to Route 44 Diet Cokes (and sometimes a Diet Limeade, which, by the way, is not sugar free). But I bet it wouldn't be hard to get my daughter to taste one of these for the NYCE team. If she agrees, we'll report back.

It didn't take much to get my daughter out to Sonic to try one of these.

Her review:

"Not bad. Tastes like they took a can of peaches and put them in the blender with yogurt. Big chunks of canned peaches. Really sweet. Tastes like they just squirted some peach syrup in there. I probably wouldn't have it again. Sonic's Ocean Water is better."

we need to hire that gal! the minute NYCE gets some financial backing, she is the #1 first hire. if someone else doesn't get her first

I'm a closet Sonics fan. It is like the best tasting fast food, so many gooood choices. And I can't help but like the dumb commercials they have on the tele.

One of my co-workers had a peach smoothie for lunch (with tater tots). She said it was pretty good and tasted "healthy," although I imagine it's not on par with Jamba Juice, which tastes like vitamins and minerals pumped into a natural slurpee.

Seriously, do you type these entries up on your cell phone? The pre-teen abbreviations render this post almost unreadable.
