C Rolls Sushi Cafe
Damn, here’s an unfortunate attempt at a clever name: C Rolls Sushi/Café, a small family-run Japanese-sushi place at Preston & Frankford in No. Dallas. It appears to be an unassuming neighborhood place w/ a big menu of rolls (many of which they say are "on sale" -- a term you might use for clothes & other merch the day after thxgiving, but an odd one for food). But oh the name. the rest's website sez it has 3 meanings – it stands for 1. calif rolls, 2. rolls from the sea, and 3. rolls you want to see. Oh dear. Cuz, C, the first assoc I get is C-section

I, FOR ONE, CAN APPRECIATE A PLACE THAT SERVES RAW CAT WRAPPED IN RICE AND SEAWEED.
Apparently, these folks don't know the "A, B, C" grading system.
Is this the place that was called "I Love Sushi" just a few weeks ago? (Same address, different suite.)
kirk, I Love Sushi and C-Rolls Sushi are neighbors. next door to cafe express. (who - surprise - do not serve sushi.) it's a veritable restaurant row up there at preston & frankford, isn't it
I THINK WE ALL KNOW THE "C" WORD THAT APTLY DESCRIBES DOG KILLER. GOOD TO KNOW THERE'S SOMEBODY WHO'LL STOOP TO HANGING OUT WITH HER. IT'LL SAVE A LOT OF OTHER ANIMALS.
I'll have to check it out for lunch. IF I can make it past Chaat Cafe first.
And Sam's Burger House.
BK, what is Chaat Cafe like? What do you order there.
Chaat Cafe is Indian chaat -- what they call small bites / appetizers / stuff-like-that. Like paneer, samosas, chick pea salad, etc. In actuality you can get meals there, too.
But the wraps on fresh-baked naan, are what's best. Esp. the fish wrap or the chicken wrap (not the hot one unless you have an iron mouth). They come with a cucumber salad or a spicy potato salad, and two kinds of dipping sauce.

It's been a while since I've been there, and I'll have to head back to try one of the wraps. Thanks, BK.
My wife and I eat there all the time (I know the owner, he used to be the head sushi chef over at Blue Fish and then opened C-Rolls).
Whatever you think of the name, I've eaten at a lot of sushi places and C-Rolls is in my top 3 list (the others are Sushi Sushi in Beverly Hills and Yanagi in Philadelphia). They serve very fresh stuff, and the staff are some of the friendliest out there.
And no, it's not the same as "I love sushi", not in the same suite either.
Try it out - you have my recommendation.
That last poster must be sleeping with the owner. This is the only place that I have ever gotten sushi so bad I had to throw it away. Its overpriced too.
C-Rolls is so so so good!
I have not tried C-Rolls in L.A. but I sure have to try it when I go back.
Bruins, If you like dining out at Tomodachi and/or Ami, you should try C-Rolls. They don't have the Dynamite Rolls, but the volcano and the preston rolls are so so so yummy.
so good.....!
