Reese's Double Chocolate PB cups
You’d think there’d be a finite # of spin-offs but Reese’s seems intent on proving otherwise w/ another new limited edition: Reese’s Double Chocolate peanut butter cups. One hates to be a corp toady but their new-prod team really deserves a hi-five, not only for the creativity of ideas but also cuz these are pretty effing great (altho the new-ish caramel cups ain't so hot). As the NYCE-generated foto shows, instedda the usual tan-colored, PB-only filling, it has a chocolatey color & flavor too. Yumsters.

eewwww.......
the dreaded chocolate and peanut butter combo!
of all of them, clairevoyant, i predict that this might be the one you could actually tolerate ... it's hardly peanut-buttery at all
I just picked this up and I was gonna post a big listing of all the different versions. I have high hopes for it - especially now that you've given it your blessing!
So what's double chocolate about it exactly. Two kinds of chocolate? or what
If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!!!
This at least sounds better than the white chocolate spinoffs. Got no use for those.
since it is a limited edition, should we look for it at 7-eleven?
HAha, that's right Ms.Ery!!! Either that or SueprTarget. That's the place TG is always going on about (I've noticed).
I was intrigued enough (and distracted enough) that I looked for Reese's DCPG cups at CVS today.
They didn't have it, but they did have a kingsize Fifth Avenue bar, which I ate in major denial of some -- shall we say -- glucose intolerance issues.
When I became semi-coherent again, some three hours later, I swore I would ignore TG's future candy blogs. But it was fun while it lasted...
Tried these yesterday and they were good. They taste like a regular Reese's, except with the peanut butter turned down a little.
Okay, I tried mine last night and found it to be a pleasant change of pace (and yes, I had a regular one too as a comparison). I like it in the same way that I like those York Peppermint Pattie chocolate truffle ones.
It's not that it's more chocolately ... it's just less peanutbuttery.
